Both articles use the word "feckless" to mean irresponsible. Article one states that our president, Barack Obama, is feckless due to the fact that he appeared on the David Letterman show instead of meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Isreali prime minister. The author of the article, Thomas Sowell, made it seem as though our president is completely irresponsible. The second article, however discusses how people are always so quick to call a single mother feckless. The author actually defends the single mothers and talks about their struggles for income and making ends meet for them and their children.
